Volunteer Day at the Double Oak Farm for Sanctuary One

Our amazing team members at Timber Kids were excited to take part in the annual Volunteer Day on April 23rd at Sanctuary One at the Double Oak Farm!

They serve as models for treating animals humanely and honoring their intrinsic physical and spiritual value. And they illustrate how the environment that sustains us all can be steadily improved through organic and permaculture-inspired farming practices.

Our team worked around the property doing landscaping and planting, mostly, but the real fun was getting to meet the animals! These beautiful, furry friends are in need of good, caring homes. Part of our time volunteering was also spent taking pictures to hopefully find these animals a family.

More of our staff plans to head back here in the near future - for now, you can learn more about the mission of Sanctuary One and see the animals needing adoption on their site. There are many volunteer opportunities at Sanctuary One and they would be happy to have you as their next guest!
