At Timber Kids Dentistry, we take your safety and the safety of your children very seriously. That’s why we are taking every precaution we can to keep you and your family members safe throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
We’re open and serving all of our patients with routine care, and our dentists and team members are taking every possible precaution to keep you and your little ones healthy and safe throughout each appointment. Contact us now for an appointment or learn more about how we’re protecting you below.
1. Check-Ins & Patient Screenings At Our Office
First, you’ll notice a slightly different check-in process. We’ll get in touch before your appointment to ask some screening questions, and repeat these when you and your family arrive at the office. These relate to COVID-19 symptoms, recent travel, and potential exposure to others who have tested positive for COVID-19.
You and your family members will also be asked to wear face coverings at our office. Your children can remove their masks or face coverings during their appointment. We will also ask you to use hand sanitizer when you enter our office to reduce your infection risk, and we have additional sanitizer stations throughout our office for your convenience.
2. Social Distancing At Timber Kids Dentistry
We are managing our appointments to allow for more social distancing between patients. Waiting longer between appointments helps minimize the total number of people in our office at any given time. It also gives our team the time they need to completely clean and disinfect patient operatories between each person.
Our waiting has been reconfigured and no longer offers magazines, toys, and other such hard-to-clean items. You may wish to bring some activities for your child to do while they wait.
3. Enhanced PPE For All Team Members
All front office team members are wearing masks, and our dental team is wearing additional PPE for some treatments, including caps, gowns, foot coverings, and custom face shields. This helps protect our team members and your children from the risk of COVID-19.
4. Patient Operatory Sanitation
We have always followed all OSHA regulations and other best practices for sanitizing dental tools, cleaning operatories, replacing barriers on chairs, and wiping down all surfaces in our operatories between each patient.
5. Cleaning Common Areas
In addition to cleaning and sanitizing our operatories, we are also taking further steps to clean and disinfect common areas in our office. This includes chairs, tables, countertops, doorknobs, bathrooms, and other surfaces that may frequently be touched by our patients and their children.
